Cheryl Threadgold

Cheryl has participated in community theatre as a singer, dancer, actor, choreographer, director, writer (script, lyrics, music), publicity officer, set painter and designer, wardrobe co-ordinator, front-of-house manager, usher and seller of programs, sweets and tickets.
Most recent performing includes Norman Yemm's Old Time Music Hall, the Short and Sweet Festival at the Arts Centre BlackBox and playing 'Clairee' in Beaumaris Theatre's 2006 production of "Steel Magnolias".
Cheryl is proud to have been awarded Life Membership of MLOC Productions during their 60th anniversary celebrations in December, 2005.
After a career in ABC Television in production and public relations, Cheryl commenced self-publishing and self-distributing the successful "Riddle-O-Pedia" books sixteen years ago. This has led to many keynote speaker engagements at clubs and schools and performing in festivals.
Cheryl sees local theatre as an important and colourful component of so many Victorian communities. The combination of varying talents and skills contributed by performers and production crews, results in the sharing of exciting and positive energies for all concerned and enables audiences to enjoy affordable theatre in a nearby locality.
All Victorian non-professional theatre groups are invited to send news of their shows and auditions to Cheryl on thrdgld@optusnet.com.au for communication to the public via the Non-Pro Theatre segment with Keith McGowan on 3AW (approx. 12.45am on Wednesdays) and in the Melbourne Observer each week.
