Welcome to the Overnighters website
MELBOURNE has its own culture that lives in the ‘wee small hours’ between Midnight and Dawn.
Our Observer Overnighters section (every week in the Melbourne Observer newspaper) and this website includes some of the Overnighters and their interests, many of which are reflected in the top-rating 3AW ‘Overnighters’ radio program, 12 Midnight-5.30am, hosted by Keith McGowan.
For 18 years, Keith McGowan has presented the Midnight-Dawn (5.30am) program, weekdays, on 3AW.
Tune into 693 AM in Melbourne, or listen live at www.3aw.com.au and www.mytalk.com.au

About The Melbourne Observer

'Melbourne Observer - A Newspaper Success Story'
"We used to sell two or three copies of the Melbourne Observer, a weekly tabloid newspaper. Now, we're selling between 60 and 100 copies a week. This jump in sales has occurred in the last two months. It has happened as a result of the product being re-worked to better connect with a specific demographic. It helps that the local talkback station discusses the newspaper regularly on the overnight shift. Melbourne Observer customers are not your usual newspaper customers so we’re seeing some welcome additional traffic."
