Congratulations Keith and Angela

The kookaburras created a chorus of happy laughter as
Overnighters host Keith McGowan presented his girlfriend Angela with an engagement ring, at Echuca-Moama early Saturday morning.
The couple were guests at the ‘Dinnafash’ property of Captain Bruce Gow, and Keith chose a romantic setting alongside the Murray River to pop the question.
Keith had a specially made ring at the ready, which had been manufactured in
Melbourne. The couple had prepared the design together, and were due to take delivery this week.
But Keith wanted to make the weekend trip to his favourite border country something very special ... and secretly took early delivery of the ring.
The engagement was going to take place on Friday - until it was realised it was ‘Friday the 13th’.
Plans were changed, and at sunrise on Saturday, the couple made their way to the banks of the Murray River that brings New South Wales and Victoria together.
It has been a whirlwind romance for the pair, and Overnighters listeners have increasingly heard about
Angie in the 3AW midnight-dawn program.
Angela has brought a marvellous spark into Keith’s life, and he tells his audience now of his regular restaurant visits, special outings, theatre nights ... and even his new love for boxing.
Whilst Keith is a rabid St Kilda supporter, Angela is an enthusiastic
Tigers follower.
The happy couple will take a month-long holiday in July, visiting the Tanami Track in the Northern Territory, in the company of
Overnighters outback correspondent Nick Le Souef.
The motor tour through the outback will start from Alice Springs, and work its way to Rabbit Flat, and northern Western Australia.
Congratulations to Keith and Angela on their marvellous news.
